Every ISO 9001:2026 block explained
ISO 9001:2026 is the sixth edition of the quality management systems standard, published by ISO on 16 September 2026, replacing the 2015 edition and its 2024 amendment. It keeps the common structure shared by management system standards and concentrates the changes in a handful of clauses: leadership, quality culture and ethics, risks and opportunities, planning of changes, awareness and management review.
The changes explained here are those listed in the mandatory Global ACI transition document, which itself describes them as minimal. Because the text of the standard is sold, this path summarises it in our own words: for the exact wording of each requirement, go to the standard itself.
The chapters of the 2015 edition are still explained in the Academy's ISO 9001 learning path, which remains valid for the whole transition period, ending on 30 September 2029.
