ISO 9001 templates and records
Eleven records that hold up a quality management system, each with the clause of the standard that calls for it, the fields it needs and a completed example.
In one sentence
ISO 9001 does not impose forms, but it does require specific evidence to be retained — nonconformities and corrective actions, results of internal audits and management review, supplier evaluation, staff competence, calibrations — and quality objectives to be maintained as documented information; other records, such as a risk register, are good practice that auditors appreciate but cannot demand as such.

Frequently asked questions
What people ask us before getting started
Which records are mandatory under ISO 9001?
Those the standard calls for with the wording "retain documented information": among others, evidence of competence (7.2), fitness for purpose of measuring equipment (7.1.5), supplier evaluation (8.4.1), nonconforming outputs (8.7.2), monitoring and measurement results (9.1.1), the audit programme and audit results (9.2.2), the results of management review (9.3.3) and nonconformities with their corrective actions (10.2.2).
Is a particular format required?
No. The standard specifies what must be recorded, not how. A paper form, a spreadsheet or a workflow in an application are equally valid if the content is complete, can be retrieved and cannot be altered without leaving a trace.
Why are there no templates to download?
Because a blank template solves very little: what the auditor checks is that the record is filled in at the right time, by the right person, and followed through to closure. Here we explain what each one must contain; in Kimobox that content is a form with its own workflow and reminders.
