Material to explain to a client

Vocabulary

How to read a standard

Requirement
A sentence in the standard containing a "shall". It is the only auditable part: notes and examples guide but do not oblige.
Clause
Each numbered section of the normative body. When an auditor says "nonconformity in 8.5.1", they mean one of these.
Informative annex
A part of the document that guides but does not oblige. Mistaking it for the normative body leads to implementing things nobody was going to require.
Scope
The delimitation of which activities, products and sites the certified system covers. It appears on the certificate and it is the first thing a customer asking for it looks at.
Transition
The period during which one edition of a standard and its successor coexist. Once it ends, certificates issued against the old edition stop being valid.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us before getting started

Do I need to buy separate courses?

No. The Academy is content included with Kimobox so your team understands the standard and the process, not just operates it.

Does it work as a personal certification?

It's built to prepare your company's audit, not as an individual certification, though it covers what the auditor asks for.

What is BPM and why does it matter?

BPM (Business Process Management) is the discipline of modeling, measuring and improving processes; it's the foundation any quality system that actually works is built on.

Do you have to register to read the content?

No. There is no gate form, no conditional download and no mandatory email. You open it and read it, like any other page on the site.

Is the content kept up to date?

Every page carries a visible review date and, where it cites regulation, a link to the official text. If a standard is revised, the page is updated and the date says so.

Can this content be quoted or linked?

Yes, provided the source is stated and the original page linked. The Academy is written precisely for that: so it can be cited in an internal procedure, a training session or a report without asking permission.

Which standards are covered?

ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001, 13485, 17025, 15189, 20000, 22716, 26000, 37301 and 14064, plus IATF 16949, IFS Food, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP+, SQAS, SGE 21, UNE 19602, UNE 73401, the Spanish ENS, the GDPR, contractor coordination, maintenance management and sustainability.

Does it also explain how Kimobox covers each requirement?

Yes, but in a clearly marked separate section at the end of each chapter. The explanation of the standard carries no sales argument mixed in, because that is exactly what makes this kind of content useless.

Not sure how to apply quality standards in your company?

Write to us and we will talk it through, no strings attached.
