Feed transport previous loads and cleaning record
Before loading feed you need to know what the vehicle carried before and whether it has been cleaned as that load requires.
In one sentence
The transport previous loads and cleaning record documents, before each feed load, what the vehicle or compartment carried previously, the cleaning regime required according to the GMP+ international IDTF database, the cleaning carried out and the loading inspection, as GMP+ B4 requires for feed transport.
- Type of information
- Mandatory record Record required by GMP+ B4 (transport), with the cleaning regimes in the IDTF database
- Who fills it in
- Haulier and loading supervisor The driver records; the loader inspects before loading
- When
- Before each load With the previous load information available at that moment
- How long it is kept
- As set by the scheme and the law Regulation (EC) 183/2005 requires records that allow traceability, and the GMP+ documents set minimum retention periods: check them in the current version of the B document that applies to you.
What the standard requires
What GMP+ demands and what it leaves to your judgement
GMP+ requires the haulier to know the previous loads of the means of transport and to apply the cleaning regime corresponding to each before loading feed. The IDTF database, maintained by GMP+, classifies previous loads and assigns the cleaning regime or prohibits them.
Before loading, the compartment is inspected to check it is clean, dry and free of odours and residues, and the result is recorded. The customer or loader can reject the vehicle if it does not comply.
Where the certified company contracts the transport, it must make sure the haulier is certified or controlled and that these records exist.

In Kimobox
How this record is kept in Kimobox
- 1Hauliers are approved in the supplier portal, with their certificate and its expiry date.

- 3A rejected vehicle opens an incident against the haulier and feeds its evaluation.
- 4The load is linked to the batch dispatched for traceability.
Frequently asked questions
What people ask us before getting started
What is IDTF?
The International Database Transport for Feed maintained by GMP+. For each product a vehicle may have carried, it states which cleaning regime is needed before loading feed, or whether it is prohibited.
How many previous loads must be known?
As many as the GMP+ document applicable to each type of transport sets. It is worth checking the requirement in the current version of GMP+ B4.
Who is responsible if the vehicle arrives dirty?
The haulier must clean according to the regime, but the certified loader is responsible for not loading into a vehicle that does not comply. That is why it is inspected and recorded.
