GMP+ templates and records
Eight records that hold up a GMP+ FSA certification in feed production, trade, storage or transport, each with the scheme document that calls for it and a completed example.
In one sentence
GMP+ FSA requires businesses in the feed chain to keep records that demonstrate control of feed safety: a HACCP hazard analysis specific to animal feed, purchasing from certified or controlled suppliers, control of carry-over between batches, previous loads and cleaning in transport, a sampling and analysis plan, notification to the early warning system, and traceability with recall.

GMP+ templates and records

Frequently asked questions
What people ask us before getting started
Which records does GMP+ require?
Those of the feed management system and HACCP, supplier approval, carry-over control, transport, the sampling and analysis plan, early warning notifications, traceability and recall, and internal audits. Each activity has its own B document with its requirements.
Is GMP+ needed to sell feed in the EU?
GMP+ is a private scheme; the legal obligation is Regulation (EC) 183/2005. Many customers in the chain require GMP+ or an equivalent recognised scheme before they will buy.
Are the records the same as in food?
The HACCP logic is the same, but the hazards and controls change: mycotoxins, dioxins, carry-over of additives and medicines, previous loads in transport. The food HACCP sheets link to these where relevant.
